Hi Greg & Ragnhild,
It's great that you're getting a site up and running!
Hey, what's up around here. looks like king crab season was a success, hope you guys did as well with the Opillio Crab season. I totally enjoy watching The Deadliest Catch on a weekly basis and wish you all the best out on the waterways. Stay safe always, and Good Luck Mates.
I love the show and Ragnhild, you are amazing! LOL. So are you Greg! I can't wait until the next episode on Tuesday night. Good luck to you all! Keep up the good work!
I enjoy the show very much I find it very insightful. Never miss a show . ahhh but be nice to the wife and a bit more understanding ..after all your newlyweds and have YEARS to go ..lol I hope.My grandfather used to fish the same seas as you all do . Unlike today I can only wonder how it was to live a life back then . I can see its not easy today but safer by far in most respects today then was for him.
Looking forward to see more of both of you and your crew .
Can't wait to try Ragnhild's Cheesecake Recipe!! She's a great addition to your crew and the show overall, like it or not!! After the harrowing adventure of threading the dog leg out of the harbor we could see, on her face, just what the other women of the crab fleet must feel. Greg, your expertise in that episode only reenforces that you guys are truly pros at what you do.
Hello Greg! Well, I'm honored to leave the first comment. Though your site is not officially up and running, and your deck flowed with more words than your blog currently is (you and your bride exchanged quite the verbiage!) I have subscribed to this blog and will look forward to your stories. It has been a treat for me to watch your vessel on Deadliest Catch--my only disappointment was to read that you are owned by a corporation rather than keeping all the profits for yourself and your crew :) Fondly, Kathleen Hoppe of northern IL
Thank you very much for allowing my family and I into your professional life. My wife, my daughter and I enjoy watching the program.
I am sure that the other Captains in the trident fleet give you "crap" about being on TV and being a TV star. I would just like to say thank you.
From what is on TV my wife and I noticed that you treated your crew with professionalism and respect. For example, when Ricky was having issues, and you stated on the show that you would not yell at him because it would destroy his confidence. From what I have watched on the show, most of the other Captains would have lost their temper with people making mistakes.
Hey Greg and Ragnild.....love to see you got your site up and running... It's good to see the two of you interact on the show..You both seem like very nice people and like to see you doing well, catching lots of crab, making money, and having a good time working together....
We need some more shots of you two on Deadliest Catch!!! You two crack me up. Are you coming to Rosalia this August? It seems like everyone else is :).
I just wanted to say what a breath of fresh air it was to watch all the clips of you two and the crew. It was nice to see this side of crabbing. Since the Maverick, Rick, and Donna weren't on the show this season, it was nice to still have that husband/wife duo on the show.
I especially liked it when Ragnhild went out onto the deck helped out on Deck. It was awsome to see her try new things and not be afraid to do them.
I hope to hear from you sometime. I'm surprised no one has posted to your board here. Hopefully I will start something up!
I really enjoyed watching this seasons deadliest catch. What was your favorite part of the season and what was the worst part? Also were do you guys get your gear? thanks.
I have the utmost respect for all of you, I am sure it takes a special breed of people to risk life and limb on the Bering Sea. For me it would be getting over the sea sickness first, I get sick in 6 to 8 foot seas, which would be a walk in the park for you guys. Do you ever get sick or have to fight off sea sickness? I know Ragnhild got sick, I felt sorry for her as I know how it feels.
I have enjoyed watching you, your wife, and crew brave the elements and pull off two good seasons. If I had been in your shoes when you faced engines troubles during opelo season I would have made the same decision as you did. I fish in the area lakes around my home year round and problems arise, but I always try to over come and keep fishing if it is not life threating, just because I love fishing. Some of my friends don't really like to go with me because I don't know when to quit sometimes.
Thanks to you and your crew for allowing us to share the experience with you. Keep up the good work and good sense of humor as you fish.
Good Luck And Good Fishing, Keith Brown Sylacauga, Al.
Am I the first one to post? Life on the Bering Sea looks like it keeps everyone hopping for the whole time you're out there. Even in my younger, stronger days, I couldn't stay awake for as long as it seems to require. LOL I would've liked to try sorting, though. It's good to work at a job you love. I did. Injuries were a part of my job and I just wore out after 40 years. I enjoy the show, and am glad your boat was shown this year. Greg seems the nicest of the captains, IMO,(I'm sure they all have their good qualities) and Ragnhild did a great job, too. I like your boots! I had to wear those same brown boots at my job and hated them, too. I hope you guys have a great summer. Gail/Dutch
I just wanted to say how much I enjoy watching y'all and especially Ragnhild! She is so calm and adds a lot to the show and to the boat! Tell "Chilly" to take a "chill pill" and stop yelling so much. You're a great captain and I wish you all the luck and crab in the world!
The show "Deadliest Catch" has become a favorite of mine. I enjoy watching a reality show that is truly about reality and not something that doesn't touch the truth.
I wish that your shop would offer a coffee mug that would feature the Farwest Leader. Could this be available soon?
Hello Greg and Ragnhild, Just wanted to say hello and keep up the great work. I love to see the way you two work together with the mutual admiration, the teasing, and the care. It's very refreshing to see, especially after so many years together. I pray you all stay safe and have many successful seasons to come. H. Weber
Thank you for letting us see how hard and long you and all the crew work. I doubt I could do it. It's incredible. I wish you and your crew all the best. Hope you'll be back for another season, and have much success.
Thank you for letting us see how hard you work. I could never do that. I hope to see more of you and your crew in upcoming seasons of Deadliest Catch. I wish you much success. Be safe.
From one fishing family to another. Keep the Faith, Keep Safe. It's good to see family's trying to stay together and keep the old way's alive. Although we are a Lobstering Family. The respcet for the Sea is alway's there. You are All in our Prayers.
Can't wait for the next season of Deadliest Catch. When will it be back? And when will the store be up and running. Every time I check the site, nothing is there yet. Hope you get it stocked soon.
